Glodine Reliford, was born on April 21, 1936, in Longview, Texas to Elmo and Thelma Johnson, she departed her earthly body early Sunday morning May 21, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer D. Reliford Jr.; parents, Elmo and Thelma Johnson; her sons, Leon and Ethan Reliford; and sisters, Dr. Florine and Ella B. Johnson.
She wed Homer D. Reliford and they moved to San Diego, Ca., to this union six children were born, eventually they moved back to Texas.
Glodine was a long-time member of Pleasant Hill CME Church, where she was church mother; she loved the Lord with all her heart and soul.
She worked at Good Shepherd Medical Center and Mozell Johnson Elementary School for many years. Glodine enjoyed going to church, church activities, family functions and gatherings, and mainly spending time with her family. Glodine was a loving and gentle woman who was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed by all of us, but we know our mother is in the arms of her Lord and Savior
She is survived by her loving children, Richard Wayne (Vanessa) Reliford, Tina Denise (Colvianto Morrison) Reliford, Nathan Keith (Debra) Reliford, all of Longview, Texas, and Glendon Sabasion (Juanita) Reliford, of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, David Grant, of San Antonio, Texas, Wayon Reliford, of Arlington, Texas, Pernisha Carter, of Tyler, Texas and Joshua Reliford, of Dallas, Texas; ten great great grandchildren that she loved and adored; two sisters in law Bobbie Reliford and Etta Mae Manns; two cousins Rufus Hall Jr. and Govenor White of DeSoto, Tx. and a host of other relatives and friends.
