In Loving Memory of Ms. Barbara Ann Shaw Maldonado

Barbara was born on August 14, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the parentage of Mr. Willie B. and Mrs. Lois Jean Beechum Shaw. 

Barbara was the eldest of 7 children.  She always had a way to make everyone laugh.  She was indeed a very friendly, caring soul.  She was a loving and outspoken woman.  She loved to fish, cook and she enjoyed her Pall Mall Menthol 100’s.  She loved to dance, but couldn’t stand shoes on her feet.  She kept her toenails painted and her beautiful hair cut short.  Most of all she loved her family so much.  She made crucial sacrifices to give them the best opportunities.  Barbara attended Walnut Hill School.  She was married to Mr. Samuel Maldonado for over thirty years. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Jean Beechum Shaw; father, Willie B. Shaw; sister, Annie Ruth Shaw Thomas; brother, David Wayne Shaw, and nephew, Cedric Thomas. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Patrick “ Pappy Buz” Wayne Shaw, Sr. Reather “Reba” Lashon Shaw Pentecost, Carolyn Ann Williams, Robert Earl Shaw, Otis Ray Shaw, Anthony “Boosie” Shaw (Shinetra) Jerome Shaw, Tracy LaCarl Shaw (Courtney), and special granddaughter, Keaoshua “Kitty” Shaw; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sibling, Carol Lois Shaw, Brenda Jean Shaw, Kenneth Clayton Shaw, Linda Joyce Shaw Player; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
