Linda Sue Jones

Mrs. Linda Sue Jones was born June 23, 1949 to Edgar Parker and Deressia Fort in Gilmer, Texas. She attended Bruce Schools in Gilmer, Texas before relocating. Sue graduated from Fremont High School in Los Angeles, California in 1967. Mrs. Jones further her education at Kilgore College.

Sue lived in Prescott, Arizona for two years and Los Angeles, California for three years before moving back to Gilmer where she lived until the Lord called her home. 

Sue joined Gilgal Baptist Church as a young child, later in life she joined Lake Providence Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and the deaconess board. She was a devoted Teacher Assistant at Gilmer Junior High for many years before she retired. 

Mrs. Jones will reunite in Heaven with her parents; Edgar Parker and Deressia Fort, two sisters; Bonnie Porter and Blendale Peoples, and two brothers; Thomas Edgar Parker and Earl Henrey Parker.

On April 15, 2018 Mrs. Jones transitioned from time into eternity at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband; Thomas E. Jones of Gilmer, Texas, her children Jason (Falyn) Jones of Longview, Texas and Jennifer (Detron) Jackson of Dallas, Texas, two grandchildren; Parker and McKenzie Jackson, four sisters; Wanda Carter, Halois Buggs, Lotreise Johnson, and Shirley Thomas, brother; Jimmy (Imogene) Jones, and host of other relatives and friends.
