Leatonza Bradley Obituary

Leatonza Rena Wayne-Bradley (Smokey) was born March 14, 1966 to the parentage of the late Lois Jean “Helen” and Twonzy Wayne in Gladewater, Texas. She entered her eternal home on November 22, 2018 in Longview, Texas


She attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and occasionally attended St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. whenever she could.


Leatonza attended school at Gilmer High School, where she excelled in sports; especially track and cheerleading. She went on to the state finals, where she placed 1st in 100 yard dash and set a record time of 11:07. She was awarded a track scholarship to Texas A&M in Bryan, Texas. She attended Texas A&M for a brief time until she went on to attend Tyler Jr. college in Tyler, Texas.


She was united in marriage with Richard Lamont Bradley from Tyler Texas on February 21, 1994 in Longview, Texas. To this union three children was born, Rhea Latrice Bradley, Randi Lanae Turner, and Rashard Lamont Bradley


She worked various jobs over the past years. Her most recent job was at stemco, she worked there for 20 years until her health started to decline. Leatonza was well known and loved by many for her big heart and caring spirit.  She was always giving and loved to go with friends and family. She was always making plans to do things, nothing slowed her down.  She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was “G-Bee” instead of Grandmother or Grannie to her grand kids. 


She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, and two brothers.


Leatonza leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Richard Lamont Bradley of Tyler, Texas; Two daughters, Rhea Bradley of Conroe, Texas and Randi Turner (Justice) of Gladewater, Texas; one son, Rashard Bradley of Gladewater, Texas; one step-daughter, Tamara Bradley of Tyler, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Lailah, Nyla, Caleb, Kamryn, and Mikalah; three sisters, Bettye Moon (Otis) of Greenville, Texas, Beverly Finley(Pete) of Gilmer, Texas, Daria Wayne-Hewitt (Alexander) of Jackson, MS; four brothers, Lorenza Wayne(Sabrina) of Gilmer, Texas, Lewonzie Wayne of South Carolina, Broderick Wayne (Regina) of Longview, Texas, and Terrence Wayne of Longview, Texas; along with a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish her memories
