Cleo William McComas, age 89, of Emory, TX passed away at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 at The Hospice of East Texas.

Cleo was born on January 21, 1930 in Richmond, MO, the son of Garland and Silvia McComas. He married Patricia McComas on February 14, 1972 in Shertz, TX.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia McComas of Mattoon, IL, and children Steven Sypult of Memphis, TN, and daughter Sheryl Williams of Mattoon, IL.

He is survived by daughter-in-law Mary Jo Sypult of Memphis, TN and also his grandchildren; Britney Cloud and husband Ryan, Courtney Thacker and husband Ben, Justin Sypult and wife Anna, and Steven Sypult. He has 4 great-grandchildren and another one expected soon.

Cleo was a retired Senior Master Sargent of the US Airforce and eventually retired from The Metropolitan where he ran the mail room after his service.
