Arvella “Arvie” Clair Kochensparger-Purtee died on December 16, 2018 in Athens, TX due to complications with her failing health. She was 73.
Mrs. Purtee was born on Sept 19, 1945 in Columbus, OH to her parents, Harry and Claire Kochensparger. She married Dennis Reed Purtee in 1965. The Purtee’s moved to Genoa, OH where she worked as a beautician.

Arvella is the 4th of 5 children: Ron, Carol, Joyce, and Jeff Kochensparger.

Mrs. Purtee was a patient and supportive mother for their only child, Chris. She later only worked part time, filling in as a hair stylist. She was a loyal housewife and mother. She loved crafts and baking and had a great sense of humor.

Her husband, Dennis died in Aug, 2016. Afterwards she accompanied her son’s move to Texas in Apr of 2017 to be close to her son and grandchildren. She moved into Lakeland House assisted living in Athens, TX.

Mrs. Purtee is survived by her son Christophe Purtee, and has four grandchildren; Lilliana, Michel, Elora, and Maverick Purtee
